
The Bachelor of Ministry is an accredited course that Malyon Theological College is approved to deliver by the Australian College of Theology.
A Bachelor of Ministry through Malyon Theological College will take between 3 years full-time or up to 9 years part-time to complete the 24 units of study that are required.
To qualify for entry to the Bachelor of Ministry, you will need a ATAR of 65 or better; or AQF level 5 or above; an Academic Entrance Test may be required, please see the ACT Coursework Course Enrolment Policy for details on entry requirements.
The Bachelor of Ministry introduces students to the sources and content of the Christian story and message, and provides training that emphasises application and practice of this story and message in the contemporary world. The course will require specialisation in disciplines by which knowledge of God is applied to guide Christian practice: Evangelism & Missiology (EM), and/or Pastoral & Church Focused Ministry (PC), and/or Development and Education Ministry (DE). The course will integrate studies in the Bible and Christian tradition with practical experience and include supervised practice-based learning where appropriate. Through elective units students can: Develop particular ministry skills in the three areas of the field of Ministry & Practice; Develop foundational understanding in the Bible & Christian Thought (LA, OT, NT, BB).
Students who graduate with a Bachelor of Ministry seek vocational ministry opportunities in fields such as:
