Studying Online

Studying online is a great option if you live too far from campus for frequent travel. Some of our Brisbane students also choose to study online to navigate other commitments. We are continually striving to provide a high-quality learning experience for those who choose to study online.
The great advantage of online learning is that you get to choose the when and where of your learning experience.
Thinking about studying online? Here are some important things to consider:
Most Subjects Available
Most of our subjects are available online, except our “intensive units”. These must be taken on campus, yet attendance is over a shorter period.
Digital Content
You will have access to forums, webinars and some video content, as well as all materials offered to on-campus students. To get the most out of your studies you will need to make sure you have a reliable computer and internet connection.
Access to Support
You will receive online support from Malyon’s Support Team, including access to the services of the Student Tutor, Chaplain and Registrar.
Additional Requirements
Studying online is not less work because there are usually additional requirements to compensate for missing the on-campus experience. Successfully studying online requires discipline to keep up with the unit requirements during the semester. You are welcome to attend lectures from time to time without changing your online study status.
Online Library
You will have access to Malyon’s vast library which houses 30,000 books, more than 1400 e-books, and provides access to online journals. It is accessible 24 hours, 7 days a week. We also offer a mail service for sending books to students as required.
Online Access
All students receive online access for unit overviews and learning modules for the units in which they have enrolled through the MoodleTM platform. If you are an internal student though, you will need to attend lectures to meet attendance requirements.
Our Past Students’ Testimonies
“Such supportive and knowledgeable lecturers”
“I came to Malyon as a ‘very’ mature student, having not studied for close to 15 years I was nervous to say the least, but with the support of my peers and the lecturers…I can honestly say that I have never encountered such supportive and knowledgeable lecturers and through them I gained knowledge both related to the topic I was studying and fresh challenges as to what it means to be a follower of God.”

“An invaluable experience”
“Studying at Malyon College has been an invaluable experience. As a new Christian when I commenced studies, my time at Malyon College has been one of huge spiritual growth and discipleship. Not only have I left Malyon College with a richer and deeper understanding of God’s Word but my love for God has deepened significantly and He has birthed in me a passion to ensure that His Word is taught soundly and with integrity.”
