Living Faiths – ACT unit code EM021-512/612/812
How much do you know about other religions? How do we best engage in conversations with people of other religions that are currently practised in our communities?
In the rapidly changing multicultural environment in which the church in Australia is called to present and live out the message of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, there is a growing need for the church to become aware of the divergent range of faiths that people in our communities embrace. In this BRAND NEW unit, we will be exploring a range of the more common expressions of faith and considering how we as Christians might most appropriately seek to engage with people of other faiths, with a view to holding out the truth of the gospel as a genuine alternative.
This unit not only looks at the historical and cultural story of religions such as Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Primal Religions, and Australian Aboriginal Religions but also seeks to explore how Christians are engaging with people of other religions that provide opportunities to share the gospel.
