A World of Possibilities
Has God placed a growing desire in you to serve as a Pastor at a local church? Have you sensed Him calling you to be better equipped for this role? Since 1904 when the founding Principal T.J Malyon, intended that Brisbane have its own theological college, Malyon Theological College has been training pastors for ministry.

What Can A Century of Equipping Pastors Give You
Our Pastor Training Pathway has been designed to help you prepare for ministry. Over the years we’ve learnt that you probably have:
Heard the Call
You may be surprised to know how many Pastors never thought they would work in ministry. Yet most Pastors identify the moment they heard or felt a personal call to serve God as a Pastor.
Decided to Give Your Life
The decision to study for the role of a Pastor can be a sacrifice. It is not only the cost of the course but often reshuffling our busy life to make room for dedicated study.
Felt You Need to be Better Equipped
Sometimes we can already be serving in the church and realise that though we desire to minister we don’t have the understanding to be as effective as we would like to be. Practicing in a safe environment, growing in Bible knowledge, preaching techniques and Christian history can help better equip you for pastoral ministry.
Course Options
There are several different courses that you can study to prepare you for pastoral ministry. The right course for you will depend on your previous study, type of ministry calling, amount of time you have in order to complete your study and your interests. We recommend making an appointment via phone or person with the Registrar. The Registrar will give you tailored course advice and a personal unit plan.

Mark Quick
Bachelor of Ministry
Pastor & Malyon Alumni
I came to Malyon as a ‘very’ mature student, having not studied for close to 15 years I was nervous to say the least, but with the support of my peers and the lecturers I gained confidence in my ability to complete the course. I have studied at 3 universities prior to Malyon (told you I was old) and I can honestly say that I have not encountered such supportive and knowledgeable lecturers and through them I gained knowledge both related to the topic I was studying and fresh challenges as to what it means to be a follower of God. Challenges were everywhere but the great news was that you walked the patch of finding the answers in good company and many of my peers I now count as friends.
Mark completed his Bachelor of Ministry and is now the Senior Pastor at Moore Park Baptist Church.
