Rev Dr Max davidson

BSc, DipEd, BD(Hons), PhD
Wife: Mary
Fields: Biblical Languages, Theology

Max initially became a Victorian high school teacher in preparation for cross-cultural ministry.  Following theological studies, he served as an SIM missionary in Ethiopia with his wife for 6 years. Political unrest prevented his return in 1975.   After ministry at Rochedale Baptist Church (1978-1981) he commenced fulltime lecturing in theology at Malyon College (then called the Baptist Theological College of Queensland).  During this period he gained a PhD from University of Queensland, majoring in Jewish theology and the Dead Sea Scrolls.  Further lecturing followed at the Baptist Colleges in Western Australia (Vose College, 1990-1998), and New South Wales (Morling College 1999-2006).  His pastoral experience includes several part-time and interim ministries.  Max returned to Queensland on his retirement at the end of 2006 and currently enjoys the opportunity to continue with some teaching, again at Malyon.
