Jims qualifications include a DipTeach from Mt Gravatt CAE, BA and BD from University of Qld, STM in Systematic Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and MA in New Testament from Wheaton Graduate School.
Jim has been Associate Pastor of Evangelism at four different Baptist churches, the State Evangelist for the Baptist Union of Tasmania (1980-1982), and evangelist in Baptist churches in Western Australia (1983). He was Senior Pastor of churches in Adelaide and Sydney across 9 years, before joining the Malyon faculty in 1993 as lecturer in theology.
Jim's chief contribution to College life is to bring his ministry background and experience into the teaching of theology, and to bring theology into evangelism.
Since 2007, Jim has also been senior pastor of Salisbury Baptist Church. He has continued lecturing theology on a part-time basis. Jim is also completing a PhD in theology.
