Launch is designed for young adults (about 17-25) who are passionate about serving Jesus and who are prepared to take a year off uni or work to invest in gaining a strong biblical foundation and growing their effectiveness in Christian leadership, ministry and mission.

Basic Program
· Two days per week (one of these days will normally be Sunday if sponsored by a church) serving in the sponsoring organisation
· One half day weekly session (Thu 1.00 to 4.00pm) with other Gap Year students organised by Malyon Leadership
· A study program (from 15 to 35 hours per week) - selected from the options below
· A live-in week intensive - Jan 9-13 at the Brookfield Conference Centre
· A mission trip for two weeks in the semester break (June/July)
· A weekly or fortnightly mentoring session
· At least two 2 day experiences (including Sunday) in another church or sponsoring organisation
Study Options
· Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology - about 360 hours over the year
· Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology - about 750 hours over the year
· Diploma of Ministry (first year of a Bachelor of Ministry) - 8 degree units over the year
· Graduate Diploma of Divinity (first year of a Master of Divinity) - 8 graduate units over the year
Responsibilities of a Sponsoring Organisation
· Provide the student with mentoring at least fortnightly
· Provide the student with ministry experiences for two days a week (including Sunday if in a church)
· Encourage the student in their study program
· Release the student for all aspects of the Gap Year program
· Provide some ministry exposure to other Gap Year students for at least one week a year
- Note: There is no financial responsibility involved unless the sponsoring organisation chooses

Enrolment Steps
1. Talk to a church or parachurch about whether they are willing to act as your sponsoring organisation.
2. (Only in special circumstances will Malyon Leadership help you find a sponsoring organisation.)
3. Work with your sponsoring organisation in finding a mentor from within the organisation.
4. Select one of the study options. (You should discuss this with your mentor.)
5. Make an appointment with Malyon Leadership (3354 5656) for an interview.
6. Submit your application.
