Master Christian Studies/GradDip CS

(refer ACT Graduate & Postgraduate Handbook)

The Master of Arts (Christian Studies) (MACS) is a 2 year first degree in theology for graduates in disciplines other than theology. It is not designed for ministry training nor for those wishing to do higher theological study.  The shape of the degree is designed for those intending to continue with secular work and who want the opportunity of thinking biblically and theologically in the context of that secular work environment.  For this reason, as well as the regular biblical and theogy units there is a significant study in the field of Integrative Studies (integrating biblical thinking with secular contexts).  The MACS starts with the study of a first year of undergraduate units (which can be taken as the GradDipCS) and then continues on with a second year of higher masters level units.
